Yoga for Kids DVD Review and Giveaway!

Sponsored by Tomoson.com
From the Playful Planet website:
Storyland Yoga is a fun-filled adventure that infuses children with an eco-conscious message. Two unique stories, “Save the Whale” and “Condor Trek” engage a child’s imagination through storytelling. Kid’s learn yoga postures by becoming part of the story and imitating animals. Yoga is great exercise and helps to calm children giving them greater focus and increased clarity. Storyland Yoga is equally fun for parents and family members who can benefit from yoga, while enjoying ‘organic time’ with their children.

I really like the idea of Yoga for kids and I think that the DVD is a great idea. I was pretty psyched to try it with my kids. I loved the cartoons that were part of the DVD. Also I loved all of the imaginative play that went along with this DVD. Even my 6 1/2 year old boy loved watching and playing along (recommended ages 3-8), and I was surprised to see how much trouble he had with basic stretches. It made me glad we had this DVD so that he can practice. This is definitely a DVD that should be watched and done along with the children. Some of the poses were more difficult and required help from an adult. It's a great way to spend time together. Also, I really like that Playful Planet donates a portion of every one of your purchases to causes that support children, the environment, and the world community.

Prefense Hand Sanitizer Review and Giveaway

Sponsored by Tomoson.com
Recently I received a sample of Prefense hand sanitizer for review. I was excited to try this sanitizer for two reasons:

1. There is no alcohol in this sanitizer (it is silica based) .
2. One spray lasts all day for sanitizing (or 10 hand washings for you neatniks!) It protects against all sorts of germs, including staph, strep, E.coli, drug resistant MRSA strains, and more.

Verdict: I really like this product over all other hand sanitizers. It's a foaming spray which is not too watery. It doesn't dry out your hands or have a strong odor. (The kids and I agreed that it is a light, citrus-y smell. It's also great that I can spray it on the kids' hands before they go to school and know that at least they are protected if they do a terrible job washing their hands. Now, as far as the claim that it protects hands all day, that I couldn't test, so I will have to take their word for it.

Buy it! You can purchase Prefense products directly on our website: http://www.prefense.com/products/ at a great price compared to other retailers, or you can purchase Prefense on Amazon.

Win it! Want to win an 8oz bottle of Prefense (that's over 640 applications, which is enough to last over a year)?

Easy peasy- all you have to do is leave any comment! Please make sure to leave your email address.

Oliver's Labels Review

With my boys, I am always worried about losing items. You name it, they have lost it. That's why I was so excited to receive some labels from Oliver's Labels to review. I usually go the sharpie on clothes/masking tape way, and I was excited to have actual labels to try out!

I received four different types of labels to review from the Camouflage design. I decided to get Drew's name on them since Drew has been on a losing streak.

The First Type we received were the Mini labels, which are the perfect size for that favorite toy or small item. I am going to use them on Drew's sunglasses, and some of his favorite toys.
The second type of label I received were the shoe labels. I put them in Drew's boots and shoes. The only thing I worry about with these is how big they are, but they haven't bothered Drew yet.
The third type of label I received was the clothing label. I love these. Small and perfect shaped for a tag. Bonus: I washed and dried one with a tag and no ripping, peeling or fading of the tag. That was awesome!
The fourth label I received was the original tag, which is perfect for things like cups, toys, lunchboxes, bottles  (how I wish I had these when Jacob and Drew were going to school with bottles). They are made to be dishwasher safe, so when I put Drew's water bottle through the dishwasher, I was happy that the label was intact with no fading or peeling.

I forgot to mention that you can get each label with Found-it™. If you ever lose an item with a Found-it™ tracking system code, have no fear! When someone finds it they will be prompted to go to a special page on the Oliver's label website with instructions to enter the code on the label They then match you to your Found-it™ tracking system code and send you a notification email right away. Oliver’s Labels acts as an intermediary between you and the finder so you never have to share any of your personal information!

Bottom line:While these labels might be pricey, they are definitely high quality. I wish I had known about these labels earlier. They have cute designs, and are made well. I think buying these labels is a good investment for families with children in school or childcare. I am particularly impressed with how they held up in the dishwasher/washer & dryer. These are much better than other labels in terms of quality. Plus, Drew thought they were really cool, so that was also a bonus.
